![]() ![]() Stomach sleeping, I will say that I needed more support. For someone my weight, the Leesa was a great match on my side. Moving to my side, I felt less pressure on my shoulders and hips. Still, I will say that I felt better support on the Purple. On the Leesa, I also felt supported when I was on my back. However, when I moved to my stomach, the mattress supported me very well overall. When I was on my side, I felt a bit of pressure on the shoulders and hips and think I might be too light to really get the most out of the gel grid. ![]() The gel grid collapsed under the hips, but the rest of the mattress supported the other parts of the body. That being said, in my experience, the Purple felt great when I was on my back. If someone is a heavier person, they will activate the gel grid more, and the mattress will feel softer. If someone is a lighter person, they won’t activate the gel grid so much, and the mattress will feel firmer. It is worth noting that the Purple will feel different depending on one’s weight. In terms of firmness, the Purple feels like a 7/10 and the Leesa feels closer to a 6.5/10. They are both breathable mattresses, but the Purple’s gel grid allows for quite a bit of airflow. The Purple is a bit more breathable than the Leesa. It shouldn’t sag the way foam can sometimes do and will last an extra long time. The Purple should be the more durable mattress, because hyper-elastic gel polymer is one of the more durable materials I have seen used in a mattress. The gel grid will support back and stomach sleepers and offer comfort to side sleepers. The Purple should be a great choice for many types of sleepers. It will collapse under the heavier parts of the body and stay supportive across the rest of the mattress. The gel grid is made of a hyper-elastic gel polymer, which is a very unique material that stays flat and firm until a certain amount of pressure is applied.Overall, it has a balanced foam feel that a lot of sleepers will really enjoy. It is soft but also responsive, so people should get nice pressure relief without getting stuck in the mattress.
